Have Near out of Denton Texas have been turning heads and opening ears over the last couple of years with their eclectic brand of dreamy rock n roll. Their latest E.P. “Nature//Nurture” features some of their most well crafted tracks to date.
After an experimental intro titled “What If” the band blast into the uplifting riff of “Daydreaming”. It’s a colorful track with strong vocals and guitar sounds that fall somewhere between the likes of Dinosaur Jr. and Pavement.
“Like A Child” is more moody and dark with it’s melancholy melody and desolate undertones while “Hammock Weather” caps everything off in fine form with it’s soothing layers of hypnotic modern psychedelia.
Overall this is an astonishingly beautiful release backed by stellar production and top notch musicianship. Check out the full E.P. here.
