Led by Vilniu, Lithuania based musician Kasparas Genys , Sunlow deliver a brand new E.P. that contains five primarily instrumental tracks of hypnotic, thought provoking soundscapes that radiate with colorful energy.
Leadoff track “Chaos Magick” features layers of intricate guitars and a shuffling beat that leads the music through very “cinematic” territory. The whispering voices during the opening notes only add to the rich darkness of the sound.
Quickly the mood switches into the more up tempo “Your Colors” which is a hook filled number that also harnesses a caldron of ambient nuances while “The Ritual” features a more primal, menacing stance with it’s ghostly tones and gloom and doom bassline.
Other highlights include the captivating sounds of “Walk Away” and the ominous presence of closing track “G”.
Overall this is a beautiful record full of top notch musicianship. There’s a very cohesive feeling that flows through all five tracks that really draws you in and takes you on a vibrant journey. Highly recomended.
