Mirrory is the solo project of Los Angeles musician Sid Daof.  Over the last couple of years Daof has been quite prolific and recently released a new E.P. with three songs called “Discography” along with a new single titled “Suitor“.

“Discography” begins with “Eyes Of A Smile” which is a dreamy guitar based track that’s accompanied by a sea of spacey synths which lull underneath it all. Backed by a laid back beat the guitar textures and beautiful vocals blend together perfectly and create a hypnotic stance that’s blissful, heartfelt and warm.

“Blue” offers up a shuffling beat and slight country twang that along with Daof’s vocals remind me of classic Juliana Hatfield. It’s delicate yet heavy and certainly one of the best songs I’ve heard all year while closing piece “Daylight” harnesses a more straight up shoegaze sound full of melted guitar tones and a feeling of elegance that continues throughout the track.

The stand alone single “Stutor” also serves as the perfect companion piece for the new E.P. as It’s breezy, catchy and introspective approach leaves me wanting more. Hopefully well get a Mirrory full length LP in the not so distant future. Great songs from an artist who is clearly on the rise.
