With a discography the dates back to 2011, Irish experimental sound project Bestovitch impress on their latest release  “Redshift Communications Established”.

It’s a highly engaging album that immediately captivates you with the cosmic sounds of “Irregular Apocalypse”. It’s heavy low end drones and alien like vocal tones make you feel like you have just set foot on another planet and are being greeted by creatures no one has ever seen or heard before.

“Lightly Seared On The Reality Grill” emits a warm and welcoming stance but is equally as mysterious as the opening track. It’s very bright and colorful and feels like you are being led through a dark cavernous structure by a comforting ray of light. It’s a soothing and enchanting and absolutely beautiful composition.

Meanwhile “Sense Amid Madness, Wit Amidst Folly” introduces what sounds like an electric piano into the fold. It’s delightful melody and undeniable charm serve as the perfect lead in to the mind bending experience of “Fate Amenable to Change”.

At this point it feels like we’ve reached a most crucial moment. Almost like the big reveal that happens in a classic motion picture thriller. A voice cries out as the final track “Anticipation Of A New Lovers Arrival” begins. It sounds like the space traveler has finally reached it’s destination and is now being spoken to by a “final boss” type of Alien. However I believe the Alien is friendly and welcoming and revealing a message to the space explorer that everything is ok and we are all at peace in the universe.

“Redshift Communications Established” is an amazing work of art. The compositions and their ability to take you into uncharted territories is nothing short of stellar and if you look at the cover art while listening it only enhances the experiences even more as the cover art alone tells an amazing story. This record is a remarkable achievement and one that I’m sure to have on regular rotation for years to come.
