As Ghosted III materializes tomorrow, our trio of Oren Ambarchi, Johan Berthling and Andreas Werliin have one final music video to share! Today, hear a new song off Ghosted III,”Shesh,” with a new video by Maximilien Luc Proctor.
“Shesh” is an aquatic adventure, with Ambarchi’s Metheny-esque arpeggiations rowing the craft, Berthling’s bass droning down deep and Werliin’s percussion supplying a spectral lapping of the waves. Gradually, a massing of organ-toned guitar reverberations rises up from the depths, dazzling the funeral progression with sparkling ripples of light. Their collective radiation of peaceful tumult moves with all the slow-motion beauty of an undersea explosion, with Proctor’s psychoactive video steering the ship into a particolored paradise.
The sound of this trio has been all about new developments since they first started playing together— three albums in, Oren, Johan and Andreas continue to read each other’s minds (and ours too!) to produce spectacular sounds. Ghosted III is out August 29, 2025!
