In the wake of their dystopian album, Gone Dark and its subsequent tour, Human Impact – the New York-based outfit founded by Chris Spencer (Unsane) and Jim Coleman (Cop Shoot Cop) – have shared a video of the track “Collapse,” performed in Paris, a testimonial to the live energy and power of the performances of the tour.

Conceived, produced and shot by Mariexxme (with additional shooting by Fab Chomb, Brian Ravaux, and Ben Lx), the video combines live footage from the Petit Bain show on April 17 with footage from the visual arsenal used in the band’s videos and live shows.

The video captures the intensity of both the live shows and the record Gone Dark with the album’s line up of Spencer (vocals, guitar), Coleman (electronics, vocals), Cooper (bass, vocals) and Jon Syverson (drums). Having played together for the past several years, the band has honed its sound into a well oiled machine of sonic precision, low end fury, high frequency angst, and angst-ridden hope.

Gone Dark was recorded with co-producer Andrew Schneider (Ken Mode, Cave In) in Austin’s Cedar Creek Studio. Gone Dark is available on CD, Digital, Black Vinyl and a limited webstore exclusive blue vinyl.
