CRITTRR is a three piece band based out of Denver, formerly know as Shrift and the Rock n Roll boys. The band strike gold with their brand new album “EVERYTHING I FORGOT ABOUT & LATELY”.

Opening track “Breakfast” is a reverb drenched mind bending masterpiece full of garage rock guitars, laid back rhythms and an enticingly dark vocal stance. I swear at times it sounds like a group of ghosts are singing back up on this song. It’s riff is nothing short of infectious and it sets a fine pace for what’s to come.

“Sundial” is equally mysterious but a bit more intricate in it’s instrumentation. Where “Breakfast” gallops, “Sundial” stomps. The chiming guitar chords and heartfelt feel really creates a style that’s all it’s own.

The relentless energy of “Climb” brings the heat level up even higher as everything really starts to kick in high gear. Fans of the likes of Ty Segall and Oh Sees are sure to enjoy this one. It’s literally no frills garage-psych rock n roll at it’s best.

“Crashing” is probably my favorite song on the record. It’s really hard to beat the groove they lay down on this one. It’s gliding bassline makes everything gel together well while the guitars drift overtop adding another element of excitement and flair to the mix.

Other highlights include the barn burning “Organ Failure” the sonic frenzy of “Grim” and the utter chaos of “Seance”.

All in all “EVERYTHING I FORGOT ABOUT & LATELY” is one sick ass record that I can’t get enough of. Do yourself a favor and check it out in full here.
