Business School is the brainchild of San Francisco based musician Alexei Pacholuk. Their latest E.P. “Island Of The Pears” is a fine collection of incredibly well crafted tracks that showcase Pacholuk’s soothing vocals and lulling guitar work.
“Lose You” is full of mind bending hooks and gives off a bedroom pop vibe that’s also rich in tone and ambiance. It’s a fun one to sing along to and sets the pace of the record quite well.
Lush undertones ring throughout “Luster” as it’s chiming guitars paint a vivid picture in your mind that’s nothing short of beautiful. The title track is a bit more loose and free. It’s got a cool, breezy vibe to it that’s as comforting as it is fun. The record closes out with the cinematic sounds of instrumental piece “Hang It Out (Again)”.
Overall this is a really enjoyable record with some very intriguing sounds. I think what I like most about it is it’s ability to take you to a relaxing, meditative like place that’s comforting, clear headed and warm feeling. Truly delightful from beginning to end. Get the E.P. here.
