The NOW phase of No Age is upon us, and the future is BRIGHT HERE! With People Helping People, their evolution is crisp and crystalline, with production mods rooted in punk modes, frantic filter passes and deceptively low-fi sounds and guitars piling up corrosively to screaming blissful climax. People Helping People finds their disparate desires operating in perfect sync; prolegomenic weirdness fused immaculately to classic rock propulsion, transforming the energy pouring out from their hands and feet with electronics.

When “Compact Flashes” bounces in on an insane synthetic beat, the only recognizable sound of No Age is a sputtering of enchanted clicks and creaks — muted guitar strings and drumkit rattlings that cycle for a full minute before voice, song and snare fall into place. A pulsating synthetic beat-ball bounces relentlessly, Dean disheveled and oblique; Randy, ready ‘n rhythmic.

Tim Siskind’s animated visuals are processed to simultaneously drive the music and on-screen action, corresponding/leading to/and echoing every sound. The result is a truly nonfungible, Hi-NRG visual remix, no-holds-barred!

Watch the latest video for “Compact Flashes” and remember this date, kids: September 16th – People Helping People truly BEGINS! Look for the LP/CD/CS among the people then.
