Shorty’s Ark, the collaborative effort between Will Oldham and graphic artist Lori Damiano, is now available! Based on the song by Oldham and musician Matt Sweeney from their Superwolves LP, this hardcover book for young readers draws inspiration from the story of Noah—showcasing a wild variety of species to inform and engage an equal variety of young minds with the diversity that can be found around this great planet of ours. Colorfully illustrating as many creatures and their places as possible, Shorty’s Ark is an earth-affirmative vision meant to stimulate the curiosity and passion of those who encounter it.
To celebrate the release of his first children’s book, Captain Bonny steers the ark and sets sail this Fall, docking in various cities across Texas, the Southwest and Northeast. Offering a unique live experience, featuring both classic songs from throughout his career as well as new material, BPB dutifully incorporates the interaction between artist and audience to construct a set of unforgettable performances.
